Sundays

We meet at 4pm every Sunday at St Johns Church, Lower Weston. We'd love you to join us!

Sundays at Grace Church

Our vision for our Sunday services is for you to come away knowing more about Jesus, being known by a loving church family, and for you to go into your week feeling equipped to make Jesus known in the lives of others.

What to expect

3:30PM

There will always be a friendly face to welcome you as you arrive for our services. Catch up with a cup of tea and a slice of cake between 3:30-4pm.

4PM

The service kicks off at 4PM! Our services are centred around the Word of God - The Bible. You can expect prayers, songs, the odd game, a bible reading and a 20 minute talk on the bible passage which helps us to apply what we have learnt to our own lives. Following the talk there is a time to reflect and discuss with others on what we have heard and ask the preacher questions or offer reflections. During the talk the kids and youth head out to their groups where they have fun learning about the same bible passage.

Lords Supper

We often share the Lords Supper together during our services where we take bread and drink wine to remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us.

5PM

At 5PM (or sometimes just after) there is space for more discussion and fellowship with even more refreshments! We have kids tea from around 5:15PM, so if you have children, you don't have to rush off to make them dinner as we provide it for them.

After hours

Often many of us head to the pub after the time of fellowship to continue conversations. During the summer months, we head to Victoria park where we share food and play games.

Church dinners

We occasionally have a big church dinner together after the service so make sure to get the dates in your diary via our events calendar!

FAQs

How long are our services?

Our services are kept to 1 hour, kicking off at 4pm. We meet for refreshments from 3.30pm and then have more refreshments and Kid's Tea after the service.

Is there parking available?

Although Grace Church doesn't have it's own car park, there is free parking available on the streets around the church. Make sure you leave plenty of time to find a spot before the service starts.

What should I wear?

There is no dress code for attending our church services. We want you to be comfortable, so come as you are!

Can I come if I'm not a Christian?

Yes! Grace Church is a church for everyone – you don’t have to believe before you can come. Wherever you are and whatever you think, we would love you to join us and learn more about Jesus together.

Do I have to participate in every part of the service?

Not at all! There is never any pressure to participate in any part of our services at Grace Church. So if you aren't comfortable singing, participating in the time of discussion after the sermon, in communion or any other part of the service then that's absolutely fine! Just sit back and take some time to reflect or decide what's for dinner. We won't be offended!
